Intertidal Vegetation Dynamics in the Tampa Bay Estuary

Future Directions:
  • Continue measurements of vegetation plots.

  • Add Sediment Elevation Tables (Boumans & Day 1993) and porewater piezometers at selected plot locations.

  • Expand sampling efforts at Terra Ceia and the Alafia River and initiate sampling at Feather Sound.

  • Use plot data to assist in ground truthing and calibration of LIDAR measurements.

  • Develop and establish experimental approaches to assessing the effects of wetland restoration / creation projects at Terra Ceia
