• the United States Geological Survey (USGS),
• the Texas Natural Resource Information Service, and
• the Texas Parks and Wildlife

for the development of a Habitat Database.

Specifically, GBEP was awarded a grant from the Gulf of Mexico Program (GMP) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the purpose of producing a current wetland assessment for Galveston Bay and the surrounding watershed that makes up the GBEP focus area.

To carry out this assessment, GBEP has requested and received permission from the GMP, for USGS to manage the award on GBEP's behalf for the purpose of developing PHASE I of the Galveston Bay Wetland Inventory Project.
