Section III. Data Development Procedures
Item I. Obtain the Data
The NWIs were downloaded from the Fish and Wildlife service’s webpage (ftp://www.nwi.fws.gov/dlgdata/Houston/). There were a total of 38 NWIs (each corresponding to one USGS 7.5’ quadrangle).
The DOQs were downloaded from TNRIS - Texas Natural Resources Information System (http://www.tnris.state.tx.us/digital.htm) for Chambers county.
The lamberts were provided by the Houston-Galveston Area Council’s Geographic Data Committee for Harris and Galveston Counties.

Item II. Converting the Data
Once the data was downloaded, the NWIs’ were imported from ArcInfo Interchange Files, converted to shapefiles, and re-projected to overlay the Lamberts.
